Here we are guys, just days away from opening the 20th Anniversary season of the Kokomo Downtown Farmers’ Market!

We’ve already accomplished big things this year with the relocation of The Market Store & Cafe into a bigger space full of potential, and we’ve got more to do as we begin building our COMMUNITY KITCHEN! In these days leading up to OPENING DAY, we are asking YOU to join us in our 20 Days for 20 Years Campaign.

We’re going to be sharing 19 years of memories and market history, along with 20 really big reasons that farmers’ markets like ours are so important to thriving communities, and we’re going to ask you to show your love and support of the KDFM in helping us achieve our goal of getting our community kitchen built.

As a nonprofit that focuses on growing small farms and businesses and providing our community with fresh, locally-grown, -made, and -raised food, we rely on support from sponsors and market fans like you. We have stretched our organization to meet your needs over these last 20 years, and over the next 20 days, we are asking your to stretch for us too! Help us meet the challenge.

We need:
20 new Market Members (click here to sign up!)
20 new Copper Carrot sponsors (more on this later!)
and 10 new Market Fans willing to commit up to 8 hours each month to volunteer with market operations

Will you help us keep the momentum growing? You’ve helped us thrive these first 20 years, now help us lay the groundwork for the next 20!
Start now by signing up for your Market Membership (link in the comments) and start saving right away! Contact Market Manager Adrienne at 765-210-8235 or info@kokomofarmersmarket.com to learn more about volunteering with the Market.

We Are Here for You!

These past few months have been nothing short of really dang hard. Collectively, we’ve felt scared, confused, concerned, angry, and frustrated, and likely, we still have more turmoil yet to endure. Most of us agree that it is a time to come together as a community, find our common ground, and move forward stronger.

For 19 years, the farmers, makers, and bakers of the KDFM have been bringing people together over food week after week all summer long and we are so pleased that in this unusual time, we are still able to hold our weekly outdoor market, but we know this summer, coming together is for some cathartic and for others a little scary.

Please know that if you are not comfortable coming to Market this year, we understand and we have options for you to continue to get the freshest, most nutritious food possible from local farmers and food producers.

Over the last two months, as all businesses have had to do, the KDFM has adapted to changes. We brought our brick and mortar, The Market Store & Cafe (119 W. Sycamore Street), online; took call-in orders; began delivering to customers; we then adapted again to include curbside pick up; and now we are back in our store working up to our previous full time hours. Our goal, as always, is to get the best food to the people in a safe way.

Now that the stay-at-home orders have been lifted, we will continue to offer call-in and online orders along with curbside pick up and delivery. We are here for you and we will continue to meet you with local food wherever you are.

To order online, please click the link for The Market Store ONLINE or call Market Manager Adrienne at 765-210-8235 to place a call-in order or ask questions. And yes, you can order cafe food online and pick up in the store using our Clover Gateway.

Thank you all for the amazing support, patience, and understanding as we navigate the times and changes. You have been nothing short of amazing and we are so happy we get to be your local farmers’ market.
