Market Day Information

I don’t know any other way to say this than YOU NEED TO COME TO THE MARKET ON SATURDAY BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, let’s get down to details. Why is it going to be so awesome? Well, corn plays a real big role in that. We have not just one, but TWO fabulous farmers joining us Saturday with truck fulls of fresh, locally-grown corn.

We’re also excited to have Indiana Health Centers join us to distribute WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program vouchers right at the market. If you qualify for WIC and haven’t received your vouchers (worth up to $24 for fresh produce) yet, Saturday is a perfect day to do so.

We’re also pretty excited about this week’s vendor list, but before we get to that, let’s review some of the KDFM’s COVID19 precautions:

*We are wearing masks, and we really appreciate it if you do too. Yes, we know it’s hot and not totally comfortable. We wear masks for four hours straight, so we are keenly aware, but we still do it for your protection. Please do it for ours.

*The first half hour (9-9:30) is for the elderly and immunocompromised. EVERYONE must wear a mask during this short period. If you must come during this time, that’s fine, but wear a mask. If you don’t have one, we will supply a paper one for you.

*Our tents are spaced out so that everyone may distance to their comfort level. Please give people space as you walk around or stand in line.

*We have a marked entrance and exit. Please pay attention to the signs. If they say “do not enter”, please don’t.

*We are washing and sanitizing our hands and surfaces in our booths, and we have four handwashing stations set up for you. Please use them as necessary.

Thank you so much for your help in keeping our market running smoothly and safely.
